Tettenhall

Purpose-built development of twelve apartments.

Private

Quick Summary

The original Tettenhall property was a large inter-war dwelling that had been subdivided into
flats. The building had been poorly maintained and the various alterations were
unsympathetic to the existing fabric of the building. Our clients wish was to demolish the
existing building and replace it with a purpose-built development of twelve apartments.
The site is located within the Mount Hermon Conservation Area and the local planning
refused the application for redevelopment on the basis that the existing building was worthy
of retention. We advised the client to go to Appeal and at the subsequent Public Inquiry the
Inspector found in favour of the Appellant.
We were retained to provide a partial service including initial design, detailed design and
building regulation information.

Demolish the existing building and replace it with a purpose-built development of twelve apartments.
