Sustainability:
The practice prides itself in being at the forefront of those embracing new technologies and sustainable construction methods.
We have taken part in a number of projects that have realised the potential for energy savings and environmental improvement. Some of these are as follows:-
- Generation of heat and power from residual household waste
- Incorporation of photo-voltaic cells or solar thermal generators in stand alone or private wire network installations
- Designing dwellings to achieve Level 4 and above of the Code for Sustainable Homes
- Multi-fuel combined Heat and Power Stations
- Air source heat pumps in domestic dwellings
- Sustainable underground drainage systems
- Rainwater harvesting
Sustainability is an integral part of our design process. Materials and products are selected because of their low carbon footprint as identified in the "Green Guide to Specification".
