CLARENDON ROAD - WATFORD
REFURBISHMENT, EXTENSION AND NEW CONSTRUCTION
Client: Terrace Hill Developments Ltd.
The scheme comprised the refurbishment of a 4 storey, in-situ concrete, framed office building constructed in the 1970's.
Work included the total removal of the external envelope, back to the main structure, retaining only the stair and lift cores. The rear wing of the building was extended and a general extension of the floor edges enabled installation of service risers and ductwork. Infilling and extending the ground floor provided a new reception area and additional office accommodation.
A new wall cladding system was installed to all elevations and the roof coverings were replaced. New toilet accommodation was provided and the total replacement of M & E services and plumbing undertaken. Limited external works included resurfacing the car park and new pavings to the front of the building. A new Sub station was also built on the site.
