BBF Fielding - Chartered Architects

RAY FREELAND

Chartered Architect

Ray has a BA and Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture and is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects.

His professional career has been divided equally between the public and private sectors. Ray was a partner with BBF Consultancy Group prior to that firm’s merger with Maurice Fielding & Associates to form BBF-Fielding Ltd.

Before that Ray was Borough Architect with Woking Borough Council at a time when that authority was undertaking major developments of housing, leisure, commercial and industrial buildings. He was chairman and architectural representative of the multi disciplinary team that produced the master plan for the on-going development of Woking Town Centre.

His private sector experience includes bespoke and speculative housing, urban regeneration, football stadium design, listed building restoration and public realm enhancement projects. Ray has also managed sustainable construction and renewable energy projects. He also has experience of dealing with contaminated sites and acting as a construction related expert witness.

In addition to his work as an architect Ray manages town-planning and marketing matters on behalf of the practice.
